Fabric application

Oxford Fabrics for Tents and Canopies

Compare documented polyester Oxford fabric references for tent, sidewall and canopy projects, then agree the sample and test requirements for your construction.

Selection guidance

Specify the shelter component first.

Tell us whether you are sourcing a tent panel, sidewall, canopy tarp or another shelter component. The same fabric label does not establish suitability for every part of a finished shelter. Compare the sample with your panel dimensions, seam method and intended exposure.

Compare the documented references

P06 is a beige PU-coated 600D polyester reference supplied with tent and canopy application examples. Other listed references include PVC-coated cationic fabric and PE-coated solid, printed and waffle surfaces. Use the current coating, weight and width in the table to choose samples; these differences are not a ranking of weather performance.

Agree the test requirements before approval

A coating name or water-drop photograph does not establish a waterproof rating. No verified hydrostatic-pressure, flame-retardancy or UV rating is listed for these references. Supply the test method, target result, destination market and any required report for your project. Fabric results also do not establish the performance of a sewn or assembled shelter.

Fabrics with documented tent or canopy uses

These are listed end uses, not test ratings. Confirm the selected sample, order specifications and suitability for your finished construction.

Prepare your inquiry

Prepare a tent or canopy fabric brief.

  • Identify the shelter component, fabric reference, color or print and intended exposure.
  • State the required usable width, target finished weight and quantity by color or print.
  • Describe panel dimensions, seam or joining method, and any printing or finishing requirements.
  • Include the delivery destination, required date, sample needs and test methods with target results.

Minimum order quantity, sampling arrangements and production schedule must be confirmed for the selected reference and order. Use the sample links above to keep your product reference attached to the inquiry.

Review our fabric quality review process. For bag construction, see the bag fabric comparison and sourcing guide. Return to the product application directory for other documented uses.
